DSCC conducts anti-mosquito drives

Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) conducted mobile courts in its different areas to search mosquito breeding grounds on Saturday.              

A total of 141 houses were inspected and a number of building owners were fined as mosquito larvae were found inside their buildings.

DSCC zone-1 zonal executive officer Mizanur Rahman carried out mobile court in Dhanmondi area and fined the supervisor of a under construction building Tk 50,000 and in default three months in jail as found mosquito larvae were inside the building.     

DSCC magistrate Babar Ali inspected 30 houses in Azimpur area while magistrate Jahid Hossain visited 31 holdings, including Baitul Mukarram National Mosque, Jaitya Krira Parisad and shops in the stadium area.   Magistrate Sonia inspected 31 houses in Jatrabari area and fined four house owners Tk 7000 as mosquito larvae and breeding grounds were found.   

Executive magistrate and DSCC zone-4 executive officer Udyan Dewan conducted drive in Sadarghat area and inspected 10 houses.

Udyan fined five houses Tk 17000 as he found it suitable for mosquito breeding.
