BREB observes National Mourning Day

Bangladesh Rural Electrification Board (BREB) observed the National Mourning Day throughout the country.

The state-run organization observed the day at 80 offices and 335 sub-zonal offices across the country, said a news release.

On the occasion, a discussion was held at BREB headquarters in the city on Sunday. BREB Chairman retired Major General Moin Uddin was the chief guest while Additional Secretary Abul Kalam Shamsuddin and Joint Secretary Nazmus Sadat Salim were present.

The BREB Chairman said, “Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman liberated the country and we want to contribute to fulfilling his dream of building a golden Bangla.” Among other board members, Muhammad Abdus Salam, Zafar Sadek and Omar Faruque Bhuiyan were present.

Earlier on August 15, the BREB Chairman placed a wreath at the portrait of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at Dhanmondi in the capital.
