Bangladesh ‘A’ suffer second successive defeat

Bangladesh A team conceded their second successive defeat in the one day series against Afghanistan A by 4 wickets at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium on Sunday.

Bangladesh A scored 278 runs for nine wickets in 50 overs after losing the toss. Skipper Mohammad Mithun scored the highest 85 runs off 94 balls hitting five fours with four sixes.

Mohammad Naim and Imrul Kayes managed 49 and 40 runs each respectively.

Afghan bowler Karim Janat picked up 3 wickets for the team.

In their reply, the tourists took 49.1 overs to chase the target of 278 runs losing 6 wickets. Afghan opener Ibrahim Zadran hit a brilliant century for the team. He scored 127 runs off 149 balls hitting seven fours with seven sixes.

Pacer Shafiul Islam was the most successful bowler of team Bangladesh who took 2 wickets allowing 59 runs.
