Bashundhara Kings retain top spot

Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) 2018-2019 season (football) has been a spectacular event so far as all the teams playing showed outstanding performances and won the hearts of football fans and rekindled hopes of bringing back the glory days of football.

Among these teams the most mentionable would be Bashundhara Kings. They hold the top position in the scoreboard with 58 points in their disposal winning 19 matches form 21 matches played so far and with a single loss and a draw. With these numbers and their upholding form it can be anticipated that Bashundhara Kings are the ones who will win the league and take home title.

Dhaka Abahani are trailing behind at the second position of the points table right after Bashundhara Kings. With 54 points from 18 wins out of 22 matches and 4 losses, Dhaka Abahani seem destined to lose their title to Bashundhara Kings.

Sheikh Russel Krira Chakra are the only team who were able to win a match against the formidable Bashundhara Kings in their last match. The win was a holy grail for Sheikh Russel as Bashundhara Kings are a tough opponent to beat but nonetheless they managed to get a win against them. They currently hold the third position in the table with 45 points along with 14 wins out of 21 matches played and 4 losses and 3 draws.

Saif Sporting Club, Arambagh Krira Sangha and Lt Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club Ltd hold the fourth, fifth and sixth position respectively with 41, 30 and 27 points to their name. Despite no chance for launching a bid for the title, they can be quite the spoilsport for the big guys out there. These clubs have not shown good performance as they had in the early BPL tournaments.
