Space innovation summit held

Space Innovation Summit held in Dhaka recently to inspire youths in space issues sharing latest knowledge on aeronautical science.

Bangladesh Innovation Forum (BIF) organised the conference for second time in association with local chapter of NASA Scientific Problem Solver.

ICT State Minister Zunaid Ahmed Palak was the chief guest while Bangladesh Communication Satellite Company Director Prof Sazzad Hossain special guest at the inauguration ceremony at Independent University in the capital.

ICT State Minister Zunaid Ahmed Palak said the Bangladeshi youths have proven excellence in space issues at programming platform of NASA.

BIF founder Ariful Hasan Opu made address of welcome on the occasion chaired by IUB Treasurer Khandker Iftekhar Haider.

Around 1,500 students participated in the 16 seminars on space issues and 2 workshops with practical demonstration during the two-day summit ended on Saturday.

Organisers informed that the seminars aims to motivate aspirants on space education enhance rocket technology capability and discuss various functions of ground stations.

The four sessions covered rocket technology, satellite making and communication, robotics for space exploration, and careers at NASA.

There were held two workshops that include ground station making with satellite tracking and image receiving, and simulation-based rocket making.

Youths had special attractions in workshop on rocket making and one-hour segment marking the fifty years of Moon trip.
