The Belgium international is loving his time at the club, after being a key part of their UEFA Champions League winning season.
In 2014 Belgium international striker Divock Origi signed for English Premier League club Liverpool. He was handed a five-year contract after leaving French Ligue 1 side Lille but spent two seasons out on loan. The 24-year-old, who has had loan spells at Lille and VfL Wolfsburg during his time at Liverpool so far, scored some important goals for the Reds in the Premier League and in the Champions League this past season, but the striker is essentially a squad player.
“The feeling was always that I wanted to stay,” said Origi according to the BBC. “There is something special going on here.”
He was a key part of the Reds’ UEFA Champions League winning run. “It’s a story really only football can write,” said Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp.
