Bangladesh Standards and Testing Institution (BSTI) filed a case against a man and jailed two others for marketing unauthorised and substandard mosquito coils of Dragon Brand and Anlu Brand at Mirpur in the capital on Wednesday, said a press release on Thursday.

A mobile court of the BSTI led by its Executive Magistrate Begum Rashida Akhter filed a case against Mosharraf Ali, owner of Meem Enterprise, for marketing Dragon Brand mosquito coils violating BSTI Act-2018.

On the other hand, it jailed managers of Anlu Brand Atiqur Rahman, 28, and Masum Alam, 49, for six months each for similar offences. The BSTI seized 130 cartoons of coil from the spot.
