Bomb injures one in Chuadanga

CHUADANGA: A suspected criminal was injured while ‘making bomb’ in his house at Dhannoghora in Damurhuda upazila on Monday morning, reports UNB.

The injured was identified as Abdul Hakim, 42, son of late Abu Bakar Mondol.

Damurhuda Model Police Station Officer-in-Charge Sukumar Biswas said locals rushed to the house of Abdul Hakim after hearing a big bang at 9am and found Hakim severely injured in a blast. On information, police rushed to the spot and took the injured to Chuadanga Sadar Hospital. Hakim sustained injuries on his head and left hand, said Surgery Consultant of the hospital Ehsanul Haque.

Chuadanga Police Super Mahbubur Rahman said Abdul Hakim was wanted in a case and involved in supplying bombs to criminals after making those at his house.

Police is trying to arrest his wife, the SP added.
