Initiatives will be taken to toughen the existing law on torture and rape as per the proposal of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, State Minister for Women and Children Affairs Begum Fazilatunnesa said on Sunday, reports UNB.

She came up with the announcement while joining the ministry around noon.
