At least 30 students of Dhaka Medical College were injured in a clash at Dr Fazle Rabbi Hall at Bakshi Bazar on Friday, reports UNB.

Among them, 23 were treated at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH).

Two groups of students had an altercation in the morning as one group wanted to play cricket and the other football at the hall’s field.

Though the problem was initially resolved, the two groups fought after 2pm, said Kabir Hossain Hawlader, officer-in-charge of Chawkbazar Police Station.

Sub-Inspector Abdur Rahman Khan of the DMCH Police Camp said 23 students were rushed to the hospital between 2:30pm and 3:00pm.
