Japan promotes peace through sport

Embassy of Japan in association with UNHCR organised a sports equipment handover ceremony at Rohingya camp in Cox’s Bazaar on Monday.

Upon the occasion of the UNHCR Goodwill Ambassador Miyavi, donated football equipment from the people of Japan was handed over to the children in the Rohingya camps.

A reception was held to enhance sport-exchanges, and the Rohingya children received the footballs donated from the people of Japan.

Later on Tuesday, a reception to promote sport exchanges was held with the presence of State Minister for Youth and Sports Zahid Ahsan Russel and UNHCR Goodwill Ambassador Miyavi representatives from Bangladesh Olympic Association as well as other sport organizations.
