One held with 60kg hemp in Rangpur

RANGPUR: Rapid Action Battalion (RAB-13) seized 60-kilogram of smuggled ganja and arrested an alleged drug trader from the Domdoma Bridge point on the Rangpur-Dhaka highway in the outskirts of the city on Tuesday night, reports BSS.

“A special operational team of RAB-13 from its Rangpur battalion headquarters conducted a raid and challenged a speedy trolley there when the driver-cum drug trader tried to escape the scene around 7:30 pm,” a press release said on Wednesday.

The elite force seized 60-kilogram of specially packed ganja, worth about Taka 15-lakhand and arrested the drug trader and seized cash money, a mobile phone set and the trolley from the spot.
