150 students get scholarship in Rangpur

RANGPUR: A total of 150 brilliant students of the district studying at different public universities were given scholarship here on Tuesday, reports BSS.

Rangpur Foundation organised the distribution function and according reception to five successful citizens at Town Hall here on Tuesday afternoon.

Divisional Commissioner KM Tariqul Islam attended the function as the chief guest with President of Rangpur Foundation and Deputy Commissioner Enamul Habib in the chair.

Additional District Magistrate Shukria Pervin delivered welcome speech narrating social welfare oriented activities of Rangpur Foundation.

Educationist Professor Mohammad Shah Alam, Acting President of district unit of Awami League (AL) Mamtaz Uddin Ahmed, its General Secretary Advocate Rezaul Karim Raju, President of city AL Shafiur Rahman Shafi and its General Secretary Tushar Kanti Mandal addressed as special guests.
