Bangladesh Int’l Theatre Festival begins at BSA tomorrow

The Bangladesh International Theatre Festival will begin from tomorrow. Organised by   the Cultural Affairs Ministry and implemented by Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy and International theatre institute Bangladesh, the theatre festival will kick off at national theatre hall of BSA.

The opening ceremony will be held at the main auditorium of National Theatre Hall of

Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy at 6:30pm on Thursday. Bangladesh, China, India, Vietnam, Nepal, France and Russia will participate on the festival.  

This was disclosed at a press conference held at the seminar room of National Theatre Hall of BSA at 12pm on Tuesday. 

Presided over by cultural Affairs Ministry’s Acting Secretary Dr. Abu Hena Mustafa Kamal, the programme was attended by  State Minister For Cultural Affairs KM Khalid,   festival  director Debo Prashad Debnath, cultural personalities Ramendu Majumdar,  Nasiruddin Yousuff, Bangladesh Group Theatre Federation General Secretary Kamal Bayazid, among others were present  on the occasion.  

 Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy Director General and Bangladesh Group Theatre Federation Chairman Liaquat Ali Lucky delivered the welcome speech.   

The festival will continue till June 26.
