RAJSHAHI: Speakers at a meeting on Tuesday laid emphasis on concerted efforts among all government and non-government organizations to fight against cybercrimes to protect the young generation, reports BSS.
Both government and non-government initiatives are urgently needed to stop cybercrimes, they told the meeting titled “Sexual Harassment against Children through abusing Internet and its Prevention: Achievements and Way Forward” in Rajshahi city.Association for Community Development (ACD), a rights-based development organization, hosted the meeting at its conference hall in association with ‘Sexual Exploitation of Children Online and travel tourism Project’. District Child Affairs Officer Monzur Kader addressed the meeting as focal person with ACD Director Pankaj Karmarker in the chair. Police Inspector Shariful Islam and its Sub-inspector Sheuly Khanam also spoke on the occasion disseminating their professional expertise.
He underscored the need for taking preventive measures against those involved in cybercrimes to rein the growing menace.
