A symposium titled ‘Prerequisites of Sustainable Inclusive Growth, Symptoms of Financial Fragility and Burgeoning Wealth Disparity’ was held on Monday at Lakeshore Hotel in the city.

Presided over by North South University Chairman Benajir Ahmed, North South University Vice-Chancellor Professor Atique Islam, Zaker Party Chairman Pirzada Mostafa Amir Faisal Mujaddedi and its Senior Vice-Chairman Dr. Saim Amir Faisal and Women’s Front’s Central General Secretary Farah Amir Faisal spoke on the occasion, said a Zaker Party press release.

Speaking on the occasion, Zaker Party’s Senior Vice-Chairman Dr. Saim Amir Faisal said that this budget will give more incentives to the production of local goods; but to bring about a qualitative materialization of this budget – the prevailing anomalies in the banking sector must be remedied.

Apparently, there is a massive gap between the size of the budget and revenue earnings. This progress will be rendered meaningless if the benefits of the budget do not reach the middle-class.
