NOAKHALI: Professor Dr Md Didar-ul-Alam, chairman at Department of Soil, Water and Environment of Dhaka University (DU) appointed as a new Vice-Chancellor of Noakhali Science and Technology University (NSTU). He has been appointed for four years.
Chancellor the university, Honourable President Advocate Abdul Hamid appointed Professor Didar-ul-Alam as Vice-Chancellor of NSTU for the next four years.Joint Secretary for Education Syed Ali Reja said the president and chancellor appointed him for the next four years by a notification on Wednesday (June 12).
To be mentioned that Professor Dr Md Didar-ul-Alam completed BSC and MSC from Department of Soil Science of Dhaka University and completed his PhD degree on Plant and Soil Science in 1990 from the University of Aberdeen in Scotland. In 1987, he joined as a lecturer in the Department of Soil Science, University of Dhaka. He also worked as a researcher of the river research institute.
