Jatiya Party acting chairman GM Quader called upon the government to ensure people’s journey on highways, railways and waterways during Eid-ul-Fitr safe and comfortable.

‘Security of road, river and railways will have to be ensured save during Eid for all. The concerned authority has to take necessary initiatives in a bid to avoid any accident,’ he said.

The Jatiya party leader came up with the demands in a written statement on Sunday.

Mentioning many people are killed and injured in accidents during Eid journey every year, GM Quader proposed a set of proposals to make the holidaymakers’ journey smooth.

He also asked the government to deploy members of law enforcing agency in roads and highways, imposing bar on moving vehicles without root permit, fitness and registration.

GM Quader asked the authorities concerned to impose bar on driving vehicles by drivers without license, to stop excessive passengers in bus, rail and passenger launches and to stop reckless driving and overtaking by long-route buses.
