BGB-BSF stress on conducting joint patrols on borders

RANGPUR: Bangladesh Border Guard (BGB) and Indian Border Security Force (BSF) at a battalion commander level flag meeting has stressed on conducting joint patrols on common borders to curb cross-border crimes, reports BSS.

“Initiated by the BSF side, the meeting was held on Thursday opposite to Burimari ICP outpost inside India near boundary pillar No- 842/2S in Patgram upazila of Lalmonirhat under jurisdiction of Rangpur 61 BGB Battalion,” said a press release. The hour-long flag meeting was held among officials of Rangpur 61 BGB Battalion, 148 Jalpaiguri BSF Battalion and 140 Falakata BSF Battalion from 10:30 am to 11:30 am in a very congenial and cooperative atmosphere.
