New Delhi: In a not so surprising result of the Indian National Elections which ended on Sunday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Bharatia Janata Party (BJP) is almost set to get a landslide, beating rival Rahul Gandhi’s Congress Party, according to NDTV’s exit polls.

The exit polls show that among the total 542 seats, BJP will win 296 while Congress will bag 128 and others 118 seats.

Analysts said it was a repeat of the 2014 election and the BJP has expanded its map across India, including in the East.

The exit polls have 23 percent error mark and are not always accurate. But since almost all the pollsters have given Modi a victory.
