State Minister for Industries Kamal Ahmed Mojumder on Sunday asked the dealers to sell local sugar for making the industry profitable.
“Dealers will have to sell local sugar. Otherwise, we will cancel their dealership,” he said while speaking as the chief guest at a meeting for reviewing the implementation progress of the projects under the Revised Annual Development Programme (RADP) at the ministry’s conference room in the city, said a press release, reports BSS.Industries Secretary M Abdul Halim presided over the meeting while senior officials of the different departments and corporations under the ministry attended the meeting.
Kamal Mojumder said Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has instructed all to take necessary initiatives for turning the losing projects into profitable organisations.
“Many foreign investors have expressed their interest to set up new factories or invest for making profitable of the country’s existing industries,” he added.
