President flies to London for check-up

President Abdul Hamid left Dhaka for London on Wednesday for medical check-up, reports UNB.

President’s Press Secretary Mohammad Joynal Abedin told UNB that a VVIP flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines carrying the President took off from Shahjalal International Airport around 9am.

Agriculture Minister Dr. Muhammad Abdur Razzaque, Liberation War Affairs Minister AKM Mozammel Haque, Foreign Minister Abdul Momen, dean of diplomatic corps and ambassador of Vatican to Bangladesh, British and German high commissioners in Dhaka, cabinet secretary, chiefs of three services, Prime Minister’s principal secretary, home secretary and civil and military high officials concerned saw him off at the VVIP Lounge of the airport.

President Abdul Hamid is scheduled to return home on May 26.
