Bangladesh Railway will begin sale of advance ticket from May 22 which will continue till May 26.
“Bangladesh Railway will begin sale of advance ticket from May 22 and it will continue till May 26. Train tickets will be available at five places to reduce the sufferings of home-bound passengers ahead of Eid,” said Railway secretary Md Mofazzel Hossain while talking to journalists on Monday.
He said that for the first time in the history of Bangladesh, train tickets will be available at Tejgaon, Banani and Fulbaria besides Kamalapur and Airport railway stations.
“The government has made significant improvement in railway sector. We’ll do whatever it takes to ensure better services to passengers,” he said, adding that fifty percent of train tickets will be available on apps.
Mofazzel said that tickets for May 31, June 1, 2, 3 and 4 will be available on May 22, 23, 24, 25 and 26 respectively.
The return tickets will be available from May 29. The tickets for June 7, 8,9,10 and 11 will be available on May 29, 30, 31, June 1 and 2 respectively, he said. The Railway secretary also said that six special trains would operate on the occasion of Eid. “The special trains will start running from Kamalapur station on June 2 and it will continue till June 4. Return special train services will start on June 6 and it will continue till June 12,” he said.
