Sooryavanshi first look: Akshay joins the Anti-Terrorism Squad!

The makers of actor Akshay Kumar and director Rohit Shetty’s next project, Sooryavanshi, have shared the film’s first look picture on Twitter. The still looks more serious than any Rohit Shetty film that we have seen so far, reports Hindustan Times.

“Unsung. Unafraid. Unflappable. Anti Terrorism Squad at work! Sooryavanshi,” Reliance Entertainment wrote in their tweet. The photo shows Akshay lead a small group of men down a hotel lobby. Akshay is seen in black T-shirt and khaki pants and the men behind him are also dressed similarly in t-shirts and jeans. Fans also showered the first look with positive comments.

Sooryavanshi’s shoot began on May 5. Akshay shared a picture of himself, Ranveer Singh and Ajay Devgn sitting with the clapper board of their films Simmba, Singham, Singham Returns and Sooryavanshi. They portrayed the characters of special cops in the film. Earlier, the makers of the film roped in Katrina Kaif as the “Sooryavanshi Girl”.

In March, the makers of the film shared the first look of the film and revealed that the flick would release on Eid in 2020. In the poster, Akshay was seen as a police officer with a revolver in his hand. His entry was teased in the climax of Simmba as the Anti-Terror Squad chief.

Badhaai Ho actor Neena Gupta will play Akshay’s mother in the film, her role won’t be typical. The actor, however, didn’t comment on her role. “I’ve told myself to work hard on it because a lot of people are going to see it. I am going to put my best in it,” she said.
