Annual conference of Bangladesh Network Operators Group or bdNOG will end on Tuesday in Chattogram.
Chittagong University Vice Chancellor Prof Iftekhar Uddin Chowdhury inaugurated the five day long conference of networking professionals at a Chattogram hotel on Friday.Bangladesh Police Additional Commissioner Nazmul Islam presented keynote on the opening session of bdNOG-10 , according to a handout of organizers.
Addressing the opening session, Prof Iftekhar said the conference helps local engineers to share knowledge on latest development of respective technological issues.
“As port city, Chattogram has been contributing for the country’s economy. Besides, the trading, the port city also has progresses in technology sector in recent years. And the youths take leadership in innovations in every sectors,” Prof Iftekhar said.
Prof Iftekhar also expressed gratitude to Telecommunications Minister Mustafa Jabbar for taking initiative to develop ‘country’s largest’ Technology Park at Chattograme University.
In keynote, Police Commissioner Nazmul Islam said all Facebook accounts in Bangladesh are vulnerable as there is privacy concern on personal data.
The police officials also warned all to avoid internet calling app – imo – due to safety concern.Among others, bdNOG Board Chairman Rashed Amin Biddut, former Chairman Sumon Ahmed Sabir, Internet Service Providers Bangladesh (ISPAB) President Aminul Hakim and General Secretary Imdadul Haque and bdNOG General Secretary Barkatul Alam Biplob were spoke on the occasion.
