MTB holds BAMLCO conference

Bangladesh Financial Intelligence Unit (BFIU) Head Abu Hena Mohd Razee Hassan is seen at a day-long forum of Mutual Trust Bank’s branch Anti-Money Laundering Compliance Officers (BAMLCOs) at a hotel in the capital on Tuesday.

Mutual Trust Bank Limited (MTB) organised the BAMLCO Conference 2019, a day-long forum of the branch Anti Money Laundering Compliance Officers (BAMLCOs) of the bank, at a hotel in Dhaka on Tuesday.

Senior executives and officials of concerned divisions of the bank participated in the conference along with 114 BAMLCOs of the bank, said a press release.

The bank’s performance of 2018 in terms of Anti Money Laundering (AML) and Combating Financing of Terrorism (CFT) compliance was evaluated and AML and CFT strategy for 2019 was formulated during the conference.

Head of Bangladesh Financial Intelligence Unit (BFIU), Abu Hena Mohd. Razee Hassan graced the conference as the chief guest.

Managing Director and CEO of Mutual Trust Bank Ltd. (MTB), Anis A. Khan advised the BAMLCOs to strive further to mitigate the risk of ML and TF by complying with the regulatory instructions on AML & CFT.
