National IT fest begins Saturday

National level festival on information technology (IT) will kick off in Dhaka on Saturday with a vow to showing innovations of school going geniuses.

Students from 150 schools and colleges are expected to attend the three-day event at Ideal School and College (ISC) at Motijheel in the capital.

Ideal Association of Informatics and Technology (IAIT) organises the festival in association with First Security Islami Bank Limited (FSIBL). Daily Sun is one of the partners of the campus initiative.

FSIBL Deputy Managing Director Zahurul Haque is scheduled to present as the chief guest while Bangladesh Open Source Network (BdOSN) General Secretary Munir Hasan will guest of honour on the occasion. ISC Principle Shahan Ara Begum will preside over the session.

Event’s sponsor FSIBL Senior Vice President Shahazada Basunia said there is patronization behind every innovations and we are proud to be a part of the tech carnival to witness the innovations of young talents.

The segments are: Informatics Olympiad, Astro Olympiad, Project display, solo quiz, team-based quiz, wall magazine, programming contest, extempore speech, photoshop contest, logo designing, digital poster designing, In-Game screenshot, meme contest, scrap book, multimedia presentation, line following robot, truss challenge, cipher challenge,  photography,  mobile photography, gaming contest, mobile tournament and  robot display.
