PU holds syndicate meeting

The syndicate meeting of Premier University was held on the university campus in the port city on Sunday.

Eminent Social Scientist and the university Vice Chancellor (VC) Professor Dr Anupam Sen presided over the meeting also attended by the university Board of Trustees Chairman and Deputy Education Minister Mahibul Hasan Chowdhury Nawfel and syndicate member and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s Special Assistant Biplob Barua.

Different issues regarding convocation, forming committees and approval of activities of the academic council were discussed and departmental planning committees were approved at the meeting.

Besides, annual report of the 2018 was also placed and approved at the meeting.

The university Treasurer and Syndicate Member Professor AKM Tafjal Hoque, Syndicate Members Education Ministry Head of Planning Kazi Manirul Islam, Professor Dr Mohit Ul Alam, Professor Dr Towfique Syed, Associate Professor M Moinul Hoque and Member Secretary and Registrar Khurshidur Rahman were present at the meeting among others.
