Southern University (SU) organised a daylong exceptional English learning programme outside the university campus for their students recently.  

The university Business Administration department teacher and IELTS Trainer Mohammad Hasan took the teaching class held in the city’s picturesque CRB area.

The trainer put up importance of the international language before the students.

A total of 40 students from BBA, Hotel Management and Pharmacy departments of the university took part in the English learning programme.

The participants also took part in a competition dividing into four groups on four topics ‘Self Introduction and Sharing Exciting Incident, Topic Presentation, Poster Presentation and Recreation Part’ after completion of the class. 

Students of the Pharmacy department clinched the champion’s title while two groups of the BBA secured second and third positions in the competition.

Business Administration department Head Professor Dr Israt Jahan thanked the organisers for taking the initiative to teach English. 

   She hoped that such initiative will encourage students to learn English in future.
