Two bodies recovered in Ctg

CHATTOGRAM: Two unidentified bodies including burnt one were recovered from separate areas in the port city on Sunday and Monday. 

Of the bodies, one was man while another woman ageing around 35.

Sources said a bad odour was spreading from an abandoned house, which remains locked from outside, in Khalparra area adjacent to Faillatali Bazar under Double-mooring police station since Sunday afternoon.   

Assistant Commissioner (AC-Double-mooring Zone) Ashikur Rahman of Chattogram Metropolitan Police (CMP) said being informed by locals, they rushed to the spot and recovered the charred and decomposed body of a man from the abandoned house around 6:30pm.

The body was sent to Chattogram Medical College Hospital (CMCH) morgue for autopsy, he said.

The body bore around 90 percent burn while its face also got disfigured, said AC Ashikur.  A case was filed accusing some unidentified persons with the Double-mooring police station in this connection, he said.

On the other hand, police also recovered unidentified body of a mentally-challenged woman from Chattogram Government Commerce College area around 2:00pm on Monday.

AC Ashikur said the body bore no mark of injury and it was sent to CMCH morgue.

The deceased was known as mentally-challenged to locals, he added.
