Sheikh Russel went on the offence from the start of the match.

Both the teams went toe to toe in the first half but Sheikh Russel brilliance was not enough to down the defence of the men of BJMC.

The match went into the half-time with Sheikh Russel leading 1-0.

Team BJMC started the second half with some brilliant counter attack, but could not benefit from the lapse in Russel defence.

Saiful Bair Titu’s men went back to their defensive strategy in the second half. Team BJMC desperately looked to restore some sort of parity. But their attempt to score on the 65th minute was foiled by their own defender who could not give direcion to a freekick from Sheikh Russel danger zone.

BJMC continued to lauch scating attacks but were repelled by Sheikh Russel’s defence wall.  BJMC Nigerian forward Samson Iliasu blasted a stinging long hauler from the left wing which was tamed beautifully by Russel goaliee Asraful Islam Rana.

Raphael Odoyin failed to materialise another opportunity on the 83rd minute as he failed to toe a well placed cross from Sheikh Russel forward Md Khalekurzaman.

Sheikh Russel succesfully defended their lead as they blocked a final moment push by BJMC as their star forward Ismael Bangoura wasted an opportunity bulleting a free kick into Russel’s defensive man-wall.

In the other match of the day, Brothers Union edged past Arambagh Krira Sangha by 1-0 goal at Mymensingh Stadium.

Brothers’ Brazilian recruit Everton Santos scored match winner for his side on the 77th minute of the match.

At the start of the second half, Everton missed a cake of an opportunity as he blasted the star-bound shot failing to utilise a goal-line chaos at Arambagh box.

Brothers forward Leonardo Lima then sprinted past Arambagh defence on the 55th minute but missed a 1:1 with Arambagh goalie

Brothers in their attempt to carry on with their attacks tried their fate with going to the offence without much luck. On the 66th minute of the match, Eveton missed another opportunity as he blasted a freekick from danger-zone into the gallery..
