Lavish Ideas For The Living Room

It’s called the living room for a reason. We literally live here! This is the place where everyone in the family unites together and discusses about their lives! It’s usually the place that has the TV. Whether it’s the central TV or the only TV in the house, it’s what heightens the significance of this room. In Bangladesh, some of us may not be familiar to the term living room. It’s known as drawing room here. Whatever name you give it, you can’t deny the fact that it’s the crème de la crème in your residence. Here are some ideas to make this room even more attractive to the family and guests:

Have Fun With Throw Pillows

The little pillows on sofas do not just add beauty but also add flavours of fun. Think of white sofas in white or neutral interior along with happy, coloruful, pillows. Not only does it create an artistic look but also feel extremely sophisticated.

Streamlined Shelves

Make your shelves the main attraction in the room, whether they are carrying books or trophies. To display your books more creatively, offset them with artwork. You can also add in interesting details such as showpieces, antique items, etc.

Lush Leaves

Fill any underused nook or corner with a big, old houseplant and it can instantly become the personality-packed focal point of the room. Tuck the pot in a cute basket for an extra punch.

Be Selectively Boisterous

When you have crisp white walls and neutral staples, like a sofa and coffee table, choose one statement item that brings in a surge of colorful energy. It can be anything from a vibrant piece of art on the walls to a bright carpet.

Redefine Neutral

It’s possible to create a living room that manages to be unique and versatile, colorful and understated, approachable and impressive, all at once. All you need to do is get the proper amalgamation. Add quirky and eclectic mix of frames, a light wood paneled wall, a classic carpet, and an unexpectedly colorful sofa. If you typically like to stick to more neutral tones at home but find yourself generally drawn to colour, consider venturing out with a dusty rose, forest green, or navy sofa - they're the new neutrals.

Install Statement Lighting Overhead

Want to go a little glam without looking too showy? Add in minimal brass accents, like a metal-frame coffee table and eye-catching metallic lighting. Sometimes you don’t need too many things to create the perfect living room. The only three furniture items can be two seats and a small coffee table. The ceiling light is all it takes to make the entire room feel special.

Encourage Conversation

If you frequently entertain guests at your home, choose a strategic living room layout that promotes conversation and comfort. For example, include semi-circle seating that's both spacious and inviting. Sectionals are also a good option when a circular sofa isn't. And if you also love all-white aesthetic, take note. It can be an elegant combination of aesthetics, design, comfort and minimalism.

Make Things Easy On Yourself

Make it easy on yourself by sticking to a very consistent, very simple colour scheme. For example, embrace all white or other muted colours and from there develop colour patterns and themes.
