Natore school teacher suspended over ‘sexual harassment’

NATORE: A teacher of BIAM Laboratory School in Singra upazila here was suspended on Thursday evening on charges of sexually harassing several female students of the school, reports UNB.

The accused Fazlul Rahman is a mathematics teacher of the school.

Singra Upazila Nirbahi Officer Sushanta Kumar Mahato said a total 13 students and 11 parents submitted written complaints against the teacher on April 11 for sexually harassing them.

Later, a three-member probe committee, formed by the upazila administration, found involvement of the teacher, he said. Based on the probe report, the school management committee has decided to suspend the teacher.
