The investigation team of Police Headquarters said on Thursday that setting fire to Nusrat Jahan Rafi might have been averted if police, local administration and the madrasa committee took proper action against her sexual harassment.
Deputy Inspector General (media) of Police Sheikh Muhammad Ruhul Amin, chief of the five-member team, made the remarks while talking to journalists during their visit to the place of occurrence in Feni.Replying to a query, he said that the team was investigating the role of former Sonagazi Model Police Station officer-in-charge Moazzem Hossain.
