Earlier on April 6, five male and female students of the madrasa set fire to Nusrat, as she refused to withdraw the case filed against the principal of the educational institution Siraj-ud-Daula for sexually harassing her in his office on March 27.

After a five-day battle for life at Dhaka Medical College Hospital’s burnt unit, the victim died on April 10 night.

National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) sought justice in the killing case filed with Sonagazi Model Police Station. The victim’s elder brother Noman filed the case on April 8.

On Monday night, PBI nabbed another suspect Md Shamin, 19, from the Tulatoli area of Sonagazi upazila.

The arrestee is a classmate of Nusrat. The PBI arrested him following the information given by two accused Shahadat Hossain Shamim and Nur Uddin in their confessional statement before a court in Feni.

Shamim was one of the five culprits who were staying outside the building and monitored the situation so that nothing went wrong.
