“BNP pursues the politics of nationalism. But we don’t want this type of politics of nationalism which destroys the country,” he said, adding that the BNP-led alliance has been enforcing the ongoing blockade and hartal programmes in a bid to destroy all the good achievements of the country.

About the much-talked-about dialogue between two political camps, he said that dialogue may be held with the people, not with the political parties who are engaged in violent activities.

“As long as Khaleda Zia does not shun the path of violence, talks should not be held with her,” he said urging the government to stop the financiers of militant activities.
