Former Social Welfare Minister and incumbent lawmaker Rashed Khan Menon’s car has been hit by a bus in the capital on Friday.

A bus of Balaka Paribahan hits his car from the left and dragged it for a few yards in front of Mohakhali Police Box.

A press release of Workers Party of Bangladesh said that Menon, president of the party, was going to Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport by his private car.

When the car reached near Mahakhali Police Box, the bus slammed his car at about 7:30 am.

Although his car got slight damaged, he remained unharmed.

The on-duty police sergeant stopped the bus and caught its driver.

The police officer found that the driver had no driving license and the bus had no documents.

Even the bus was unfit to ply.

However, Rashed Khan Menon said, “It is regrettable that the drivers are still driving vehicles this way after serious warnings from police.”

The driver of Menon’s car Sujon Mia filed a case with Banani Police Station in this regard against Amanullah, 38, the driver of the bus and Dulal, 50, the conductor.
