Helpful Habits For Your Skin

A golden rule anyone in the beauty industry will tell you is to prevent your hand from touching your face. Deliberately or more often absent-mindedly we can’t refrain ourselves from touching our faces. Our hands are covered in bacteria most of the time (just think about all the stuff you touch). Whether it be a Tk100 note or simply the door knob, there is bacteria everywhere. Our hands are most prone to these bacteria as we cannot do without touching money, doors and hundreds of other such things which are homes for dust and bacteria. Moreover, if you’re touching an already-inflamed zit, you’re only adding debris to the pimple and delaying its demise.

So just what do we do to prevent ourselves? First and foremost, be cautious. When you are conscious, you are more likely to stop doing it. Get rid of bad habits such as placing your hand on your cheeks, wiping away sweat with hands and so on. These habits don’t look nice and also don’t help your facial skin much. Use a tissue to wipe off dirt and sweat. Sit straight and maintain a good posture everywhere.

Next, you need to make sure that your first line of defense is strong. In other words, you need to keep your hands clean as long as you can. Clean your hands with a good hand wash every time you enter the house, before you go to eat and before you go to bed. Apply a moisturizer right away after cleaning your hands.

Last, when nothing else works, keep your face clean. It’s not just your bacteria filled hands which are your face’s arch enemy. Dust and pollution in the air can also accumulate on our faces, clog pores and give rise to unwanted skin conditions such as acnes, rashes, etc.

You also need to make sure that the makeup you use is of good quality, the makeup brushes and tools are cleaned monthly and that you remove makeup well before going to bed. If you keep up with these habits and keep your hands away, you will have gorgeous skin in no time!
