State Minister for Religious Affairs Alhaj Advocate Sheikh Md Abdullah said the government wants to turn the Islamic Foundation (IF) into the best religious institution, reports BSS.
“We are like a family in the Islamic Foundation. We want to make it the best religious institution by working together,” he told the inaugural session of a two-day workshop at the foundation’s auditorium in the capital, an IF press release said.Noting that the government would take all possible steps for the development of the IF, Abdullah said the reputation and activities of the foundation have increased many times in the last couple of years.
Joint secretary of the Religious Affairs Ministry Kazi Hasan Ahmed spoke at the inaugural session as the special guest with IF Director General Shamim Mohammad Afzal in the chair.
Directors and deputy directors of divisional and district offices of the foundation and officials of its head office are taking part in the two-day workshop.
