Bangladesh envoy meets Rahul Gandhi

New Delhi: Bangladesh High Commissioner to India Syed Muazzem Ali called on Congress chief Rahul Gandhi as the party met diplomats from G-20 forum countries at a meeting in New Delhi on Wednesday. 

Congress chief Rahul, accompanied by United Progressive Alliance Chairperson Sonia Gandhi and former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, shared the party’s strategy on war  situation with diplomats at the meeting.

The opposition party hosted the meeting amid the heated border situation with major nuclear counterpart Pakistan.

Bangladesh High Commissioner Syed Muazzem Ali had a discussion with the Congress chief during the meeting at a Delhi hotel. There was no diplomat representing Pakistan at the meeting. After the meeting, Congress spokesperson Anand Sharma said: “The meeting with diplomats was successful as the participants agreed to work together against global terrorism.

Congress leaders said their party always fights against terrorism. “The lecture on fighting against terrorism doesn’t go with BJP,” they alleged.
