Abul Kalam elected ICMAB president

Abul Kalam Mazumdar has been elected President of the Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Bangladesh (ICMAB).

The Council of the Institute in its meeting held on Monday also unanimously elected Arif Khan and Jamal Ahmed Choudhury as Vice-Presidents, Md Abdur Rahman Khan as Secretary and Prof Dr Swapan Kumar Bala as Treasurer of the Institute, said a press release, reports BSS.

Apart from being Fellow of the Institute, Mazumdar did MBA from the Institute of Business Administration, Dhaka University and he is also Certified Management Consultant (CMC) from the Institute of Certified Management Consultants (ICMC), Australia.

He also has a diploma with distinction on Managerial Control and Management Information Systems from Netherlands.

The release said Mazumdar was also the President of the Institute in the year 2000, Vice President for the years 1996, 1997 and 2018, Secretary for the years 1994 and 1995 and Treasurer for the year 1993.
