Inter-university handball contest starts at IU today

The inter-university handball competition will begin at Islamic University in Kushtia on Saturday, reports UNB.

The competition will continue until February 27, sources at IU Physical Education Department said on Friday.

IU Vice-Chancellor Professor M Harun-Ur-Rashid Askari will inaugurate the contest at the university's football ground in the morning. IU Treasurer Professor M Selim Toha will attend as the special guest while Pro-VC Professor M Shahinoor Rahman will preside over the ceremony.

IU Physical Education Department Director Mohammah Sohel told UNB that 11 public universities including Dhaka University, Rajshahi University, Jahangirnagar University, Chittagong University, National University and Jessore University of Science and Technology are taking part in the competition.
