Bangladesh Bank Governor Fazle Kabir on Wednesday exchanged views with leaders of the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) at BB head office in the capital.
They discussed various matters relation to achieve the targeted vision of the present government to bring down the bank interest rate into single digit.The meeting also discussed on easing the access to finance for the women entrepreneurs, special assistance for the SME’s, to reduce the debt-equity ratio for the investors.
FBCCI President Md Shafiul Islam Mohiuddin, Senior Vice President Sheikh F Fahim and Vice President Md Muntakim Ashraf took part in the discussion.
FBCCI Director AKM Shaheed Reza and representatives from different business sectors also attended.
The governor termed the meeting with the business leaders as very fruitful.
Responding to a proposal of FBCCI President he agreed to form a ‘Working Group’ consisting with BB, Finance Ministry, the Finance Division and the business leaders to discuss time to time on various issues relating to the banking sector.
