Workshop on reading without seeing at CU

A daylong workshop on capacity building titled ‘Reading Without Seeing’ was held at Chittagong University (CU) on Monday.

Disabled Student Society of the university organised the workshop in cooperation with the non-government organisations ‘Young Power in Social Action’ (YPSA) and AK Khan Foundation at the CU Central Library auditorium.

CU Vice Chancellor (VC) Professor Dr Iftekhar Uddin Chowdhury was present as the chief guest at the workshop while Asia-Africa Bookshare Programme Management Disability Expert Dr Homiyar Mobedji and Membership Head Joynob Chinikamwala were the special guests.

Addressing the workshop, the VC Professor Iftekhar said the persons with disabilities can be turned as skilled manpower through ensuring fundamental rights of them properly.

The organisation President Md Alhaj Uddin presided over the workshop conducted by Access to Information (a2i) Project National Consultant Vashkar Bhattacharjee.
