‘Come forward to build golden Bangladesh’

Deputy Minister for Education Barrister Mohibul Hassan Chowdhoury Nowfel said all irrespective of religion and caste will have to come forward for building the golden Bangladesh as dreamt by the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

Humanitarian services are the real religion in this world, he observed.

The deputy minister said these while addressing as the chief guest at a programme organised on the occasion of 131st birth anniversary of Sri Sri Thakur Anukul Chandra at Satsanga Bihar in the city’s Bakolia area on Friday.

Chattogram City Corporation (CCC) Mayor AJM Nasir Uddin, Chattogram Metropolitan Police Additional Commissioners Amena Begum, Kushum Dewan, Deputy Commissioner Bijoy Basak, Satsanga Bangladesh Assistant Secretary Subrata Adittya, Chattogram Division Member Pradip Kumar Deb, Timir Sen, Engineer Ashish Chowdhury and Suman Das also addressed the programme among others.

Nawfel in his speech said the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina extended her helping hands for development of the Satsanga Bihar.

Putting up the relentless efforts by the PM for the country’s development, he said everybody should come forward from respective positions for development of the country.

He also assured to discuss with concerned persons regarding recovery of Thakur’s lands, which were acquired during the Pakistan rule.    

Thousands of devotees from different parts of the country attended the two-day programme.

Matri Sammelan, performances by artists from Deoghar in India, free health camp, warm cloth and education material distribution were also held among others marking the programme.
