Meeting on proposed HEAT project held at UGC

A view exchange meeting on the proposed ‘Higher Education Acceleration and Transformation (HEAT)’ project was held at University Grants Commission (UGC) office in the capital on Tuesday.

The UGC invited the vice chancellors, renowned educationists, professors, high officials from UGC, representatives of World Bank and research organisations to discuss the five-year long proposed HEAT project.

UGC Chairman Prof Abdul Mannan was present as the chief guest while its member Prof Mohammad Yousuf Ali Mollah presided over the meeting.

UGC chairman said that World Bank is taking the initiative to finance the HEAT project with a view to making a breakthrough in Bangladesh’s tertiary education and research through capacity building and enhancing employability of our graduates and establishing a regional network of higher educational institutions.
