PM appoints 2 special assistants

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Wednesday appointed two persons as her special assistants on a contractual basis.

Ferdous Ahmed Khan and Shah Ali Farhad have been appointed as special assistants of the premier.

Ferdous Ahmed Khan will enjoy the rank and status of a full-fledged secretary while Shah Ali Farhad will have been appointed in the rank of an additional secretary.

The public administration ministry on Wednesday issued circulars in this regard which would remain effective until the premier’s tenure ends or based on her wish.

Ferdous was a special assistant to the prime minister earlier while Farhad was appointed to the post for the first time.

Farhad is a senior analyst at the Centre for Research and Information.

Farhad, in a Facebook post, wrote, “Got appointed as the Special Assistant to the Honorable Prime Minister today. I thank our Leader Sheikh Hasina for giving me this prestigious opportunity.”

“The responsibility is immense. I seek all of your prayers and assistance to honestly and successfully deliver on the trust she has bestowed on me,” he said.
