Complete project work on time: LGRD Minister

Local Government and Rural Development (LGRD) Minister Tajul Islam on Wednesday instructed directors of the gonging development projects under local government engineering department to complete projects by the deadline.

“In case of implementing any project, we have to take the socio-economic importance into consideration. If the projects are complete on time, people can reap the benefit,” he said.

He came up with the statements on the review meeting  on progress of projects taken in 2018-19 fiscal year under annual develop programme by local government engineering department at local government division’s conference room.

Tajul also said, “We want to satisfy people with the development work. We have to meet more challenges in the days ahead to build developed Bangladesh promised by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

“For the infrastructural development of the country, we have to complete all the projects taken by the government.”

Speaking on the occasion, State Minister for Local Government and Rural Development Swapan Bhattacharya said, “The projects which are being implemented by LGRD ministry is meant for the interest of marginalized people. So, officials have to act considering the interest of those people.”
