BSTI sues six businesses in Gazipur

Bangladesh Standards and Testing Institution (BSTI) filed cases against six business houses for various charges at Konabari and Tongi in Gazipur on Monday.

The charges include manipulation in weights and measures, use of wooden scale for measuring cloth and wooden weighing scale, which are supposed to be non-standard.

The cases were filed under Standards of Weights and Measures Act-2018.

The entities are M/S Beauty Sweetmeat, M/S Muslim Sweet and Bakery, M/S Tangail VIP Sweets, The Top Ten, M/S Bismillah Corporation and M/S Sakib Fabrics.

Assistant director of the BSTI Sanjoy Kumar Sarkar led the drives.
