14 Bangladeshi nationals held at Benapole

BENAPOLE: Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) arrested 14 Bangladeshis while entering into the country without valid documents through Putkhali border at Charer Math on Monday.

Of the arrestees, six are women and two are children while the rest others are men, hailing from Narail, Bagerhat and Barishal districts.

Lieutenant Colonel Imranullah Sarkar, commanding officer of BGB-21 battalion said acting on a tip-off, a team of BGB-21 raided the area and arrested them.

The arrestees were handed over to Benapole Port Police Station.

A case was filed in this connection.
